If you have observations of deer anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange County, we would really appreciate help in documenting this species. Also, we are currently collecting mule deer droppings for genetic analyses to study deer across the Santa Monica Mountains and Orange County and how their populations may be connected or separated by distance or barriers to movements.
There's surprisingly little information of any sort on deer in Southern California, so your observations are a big help!
